Hardy Heron

It’s not safe right now to upgrade to hardy this is just a pre-alpha and even the dev’s doesnt recomend this act…. But i did it.

sudo sed -i ‘s/gutsy/hardy/g’ /etc/apt/sources.list

aptitude update and voilá. It’s very unstable and if you make the dist-upgrade you will blow your X.

It’s really a little soon to upgrade your Ubuntu, the sync and the merge still misses about 7000 packages just from Debian plus the Ubuntu packages.

Tray Apps

I was in a need of something to tray my evolution and firefox because evolution doesn’t tray to the panel and firefox the extension supports only for firefox in windows. So i went searching, i already know kxdocker, alltray and mail-notify, i used mail-notification once, never tested kxdocker neither alltray.
Kxdocker is simple and works fine on gnome, but i end up using Alltray because of that beautiful option that if you close the window it goes to tray. That was a bad habit i got from Azureus and Amarok but i like it so i use Alltray. An issue i got with Alltray was it defines the window name with Program(Alltray)

 

 

 

If i run Alltray with –no-alltray (No Alltray in Window title) the title disappears, and the options of Alltray through the panel appears in blank too but do the close trick.

I’m reading this epic/fantasy book, is very nice i really like Juliet is not Tolkien but is fine to me. Is a fantasy story about Bridei who is beeing raised to be a king by Broichan who is an elder and a magician but in this story exists many paths to trail and many little stories, one of the stories is about Tuala the little girl from the florest who was raised by Broichan too. Oh… This is also a love story.
